Fishery Guidelines

Consider Returning Big Fish

Where possible, please return all fish above 4lb. We had scenarios last year that after fish were weighed in, they were found in the bin. Please consider these fish for future sport and our costs to replace them.

Noise

Ledcrieff is set in stunning and peaceful surroundings away from any main road and noise pollution. We respectfully ask anglers to respect others and enjoy the  peace and quiet Ledcrieff offers and refrain from having loud conversations over the water

Respect Wildlife

Ledcrieff and the surrounding woods are a haven for wildlife and are set within a protected habitat. Most days we have otters, ospreys, foxes, roe deer and wildfowl amongst other species. Taking into account our other guidelines, please bare in mind and respect the fact that we are visitors and the area surrounding the loch is home to many of these species.

Fishing the Bung

We do not like imposing rules when it comes to tactics. Where it comes to fishing the bung, this can be popular amongst regulars and we would respectfully ask that when fishing this method, debarbed hooks must be used. Please also consider the other anglers around you if you are catching big numbers and they are not.

Keep Ledcrieff Clean

We have a great little community of anglers at Ledcrieff. Unfortunately some folks are untidy and disregard the environment & stunning location of the fishery. Please help keep the fishery tidy and free from debris and litter.

Fishing Late/Out of Hours

We are not in the habit of setting losts of rules and rigid opening times. We trust the anglers who visit Ledcrieff and as such we are happy to let you fish through until the early hours. You must advise us in advance should you wish to do this as the numbers will be limited.

Another great weekend at Ledcrief over 100 fish to the net for 4. Top of water tactics working well also lures just good fishing and quality fish hard fighting out of the water as soon as you strike brilliant. Going back this weekend again happy days. Will try to better our record for 1 day of 25 to the net for 2 of us 50 for the day and lost as many.
